The Guaranteed Pathway Agreement between SUNY Westchester Community College (WCC) and Purchase College creates a clear, supportive path from your associate degree to your bachelor’s degree.
Guaranteed Admission
Earn your AA or AS degree from WCC with a 2.0 GPA or higher and you’ll receive:
- Guaranteed admission to specific programs at Purchase College
- Junior standing upon transfer
- A seamless transition into a bachelor’s degree program
You’ll apply what you’ve earned—no starting over.
Who Is Eligible?
This pathway is designed for first semester WCC students who choose to opt into the program
To stay on track for a 2+2 pathway, opt in by the end of your first semester at WCC.
Transfer Credits: What Carries Over?
Your hard work counts.
- 60–75 credits transfer from your associate degree
- Your general education requirements are fulfilled
- SUNY Transfer Path courses apply directly to your major
- Additional credits count toward electives or degree requirements
You’ll receive a credit evaluation so you know exactly where you stand.
Scholarships & Affordability
We reward your academic success:
GPA 3.0+
$3,000 per year (up to $6,000 total)*
GPA 2.5–2.9
$1,000 per year (up to $2,000 total)
*Scholarships are only available to students who opt into the Guaranteed Pathway Program
The Westchester Community College (WCC) Transfer Scholarship is available to full-time students for up to two years.

Benefits of ACE
Dedicated Support Team
You will have an advisor guiding you from your first semester until graduation. Our tutors will help you succeed in your coursework.
Campus Connections
Start making friends during orientation and take classes with other ACE students during your first year.
Financial Support
Receive up to $1,250 per year to help pay for textbooks, campus dining and cost of attendance. Scholarships for winter/summer classes may also be available.
Career Coaching
Our Career Development Center team will help you plan for life after Purchase.
How It Works
- Enroll at WCC
- Opt into the Pathway Program in the first semester
- Meet with your Purchase advisor beginning your first semester and at least once each consecutive semester before registering for classes until AS/AA graduation
- Complete your associate degree at WCC
- Submit your final transcript
- Transfer to Purchase with junior standing

Not Eligible for the Guaranteed Pathway? You Still Have Options
While the Guaranteed Pathway Program provides a clear and structured route for eligible students, it is not the only way to begin your journey at Westchester Community College.
Students who do not meet the criteria for the Guaranteed Pathway are still strongly encouraged to apply. Our admissions and advising teams take a personalized approach, working closely with each student to develop an individualized academic plan that supports their goals and sets them up for success.
