Kelly JacksonA Message from the Director

Welcome! Since 1968, Purchase College has provided a place that would meet the lifelong learning needs of members of the surrounding Westchester and Fairfield counties. No matter the reason—professional development, personal enrichment, or programs for youth and precollege students—the theme of Purchase College’s Continuing Education has remained constant: we are deeply committed to providing noncredit courses and programs that enrich lives and careers.

Noncredit professional certificate programs and personal enrichment courses come in a wide range of interests, including interior design, appraisal studies, social media marketing, geographic information systems, studio art courses in painting, drawing, and woodworking, bronze casting, and more. Continuing Education also partners with leading adult and continuing education providers to offer online courses and programs of study for professional development.

The International Institute offers an exciting range of courses that explore English Language in American Life and Language (ELL) for au pairs and adult nonnative English speakers and a summer Intensive English Language Program (IELP) for conditionally accepted students.

The robust offerings of the Summer Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts offer intensive enrichment experiences, giving students the opportunity to ignite their passions in architecture, creative writing, digital arts, filmmaking, journalism, music, performing arts, STEM, and visual arts with experienced educators and teaching artists.

Purchase College is also proud to be an approved sponsor institution for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE). Teachers may choose from a wide range of CTLE 15-hour modules in math and the sciences and meet professional requirements through CTLE modules aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and New York State Science Learning Standards (NYS-SLS).

Explore a lifetime of learning at Purchase College!
