Fall 2023 Timeline
- March 1: Brightspace sandbox spaces and Brightspace Fundamentals course open to faculty
- March 22: Fall 2023 Brightspace courses become available to instructors
- August 24: Fall 2023 Brightspace courses become available to students
- Future: Access to Moodle will remain available through Fall 2025.
Logging in to Brightspace
- Go to https://brightspace.purchase.edu

Login with your Purchase College username and password. Do not include “@purchase.edu” in your username.
If needed, reset your password. - Follow the prompts to complete the login process using Duo Multi-Factor Authentication
- You will be brought to https://mylearning.suny.edu/d2l/home/219851, which is Purchase’s tenant of the larger SUNY Brightspace instance

Accessing Courses
Once logged in to our tenant of Brightspace, your courses will be organized by semester at the top of the “My Courses” widget.
Moving Content from Moodle to Brightspace
Faculty will be able to decide the best path forward for moving courses from Moodle to Brightspace. We have outlined some key considerations and workflows so that you can choose the option that works best for you and your course materials.
Access to Moodle will remain available through September 2025.
Brightspace Training & Resources for Instructors
SUNY DLE Brightspace Fundamentals Asynchronous Modules
All instructors have been enrolled in the SUNY DLE Brightspace Fundamentals Asynchronous Modules course at SUNY’s tenant of Brightspace. Simply login to Brightspace to access the training modules. Look for the course in your “My Courses” widget > “CPD Pilot Semester.”
Request a Consultation with a SUNY Instructional Designer
We are thrilled to announce that Purchase College has partnered with SUNY Online Instructional Design Services to offer all Purchase College faculty and instructors access to tailored instructional design support!
To request an appointment with a SUNY Instructional Designer, please create a support request with the SUNY Online Help Desk, or call them at 1 (844) 673-6786 or 1 (518) 320-1300, and specify that you would like to schedule a consultation with an Instructional Designer. They will follow up with you to find a meeting time that works for you and your schedule.
