The Office of Student Health Services provides primary care, diagnosis, treatment, and education for matriculated students in the fall and spring semesters. The staff members determine which conditions can be treated and which need referral to an off-campus facility. They also support wellness programs and participate in health workshops and other activities that support physical wellness for the campus community.
Student Health Services uses an “open access” model for scheduling appointments—every attempt is made to give an appointment on the same day that a student calls. Student Health Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 pm. Student appointment times are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Students are encouraged to call early in the morning (after 8:30 a.m. and preferably before 11 a.m.) to arrange for a same-day appointment. A student will be given the first available appointment that is mutually acceptable to the student and the Student Health Services staff. There will be some slots available for students to make appointments for another day ahead of time. In addition to phone, online scheduling is expected to be implemented Fall 2025.
Both virtual and in-person appointments are available according to the nature of the visit and student/provider preference.
