Commencement

Attendance at the annual commencement ceremonies is considered one of a faculty member’s regular responsibilities. These ceremonies are held in May, usually on a Friday. Confirmed commencement dates through 2027, published in the academic calendars, are:

• Friday, May 16, 2025: 53rd Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 15, 2026: 54th Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 14, 2027: 55th Annual Commencement

Academic regalia, including caps, gowns, tassels, and hoods, may be rented online through an approved vendor. The Commencement Committee arranges the ceremony. Details are provided by the committee both online and in email notices to the campus community.
