Greetings from the Chancellor
SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson welcomes the Class of 2020 to the SUNY alumni family and honors them for completing degrees amid disruption and uncertainty. This is a single moment in time that will pass eventually and their SUNY education has prepared them to play important roles as we emerge stronger than ever. Congratulations!
It’s Commencement Day! Although saddened we can’t celebrate this significant milestone in person with our Class of 2020 graduates, it is time to celebrate the culmination of four years of hard work and perseverance that has enabled our graduates to reach this moment. The administration, faculty, and staff of Purchase College and special guests heartily commend the Class of 2020 today, the day they would have walked across the stage to accept their diplomas.
We congratulate the graduates and welcome them to the Purchase alumni family! However difficult these past three months have been, someday we may realize they were a defining moment, providing preparation in ways we can’t yet predict.
You are and always will be #ProofofPurchase.
We hope to see you in December for a well deserved celebration in person.
