Important Steps and Info
Please submit only one portfolio to the School of Art+Design major of your choice. Students from all majors complete a comprehensive visual arts foundation year in their freshman year, providing broad exposure to all of our available art areas.
Available undergraduate major programs follow:
- BFA Graphic Design (fall semester admission only; transfer applicants please refer to additional requirements here)
- BFA Painting and Drawing
- BFA Photography
- BFA Printmaking
- BFA Sculpture
- BFA Visual Arts (declared sophomore year)
- BS Visual Arts
Traditional or Non-Traditional Portfolio Requirements
The School of Art+Design is home to visual artists with practices from the traditional to the contemporary. We invite you to submit the type of portfolio that will best give us insight to your work, creative process and personal interests. Your portfolio does not need to match your intended major. We welcome any type of creative work that shows your ideas, skills, curiosity, and commitment.
