What We’re Doing

Rocket Composter Turns Food Waste into Plant Fuel
The Rocket, located behind Campus Center North, is an on-campus composting system that utilizes food waste from The Hub and personal food waste to create compost used on the grounds of campus. -
FreeNew & FreeStore Promotes Reuse
Campus community can donate salvageable possessions such as furniture, clothing, office supplies, etc. for student use -
Sustainable Print Management
SUNY launched an initiative to manage printing across all campuses to save money and decrease environmental impact -
Mobile Food Pantry
Once a month, in partnership with Feeding Westchester, a Mobile Pantry will visit campus to bring fresh protein, dairy, produce, and grains to campus community members in need.

- Student services offices promote the use of digital materials over physical
- Facilities and many other offices across campus reuse supplies and furnishings as much as possible
