Employee Training

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Federal regulations, state laws, and campus policies mandate that all employees complete mandatory in-person or online compliance training on various essential topics. These topics include Accessibility, Security Awareness, Sexual Harassment Prevention, Title VI, and Workplace, and Gender-Based Violence Prevention.

Fall 2026 Faculty and Staff Mandatory Training - completion of all training by October 15, 2026, will be a significant factor in consideration for a Discretionary Salary Increase (DSI). Final training due date is October 30, 2026.

The following training sessions are required:

  • Accessibility
  • Gender Based Violence Prevention
  • Internal Controls - if you are required to complete it will appear on your dashboard
  • Security Awareness
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention - training invite sent September 2, 2026
  • SUNY Title VI & Title IX - training invite sent September 3, 2026
  • Workplace Violence Prevention

The above list reflects the required trainings for Fall 2026. In broadcast emails sent on August 14, 2026 and August 17, 2026, it was shared that a Title VI training was not yet available but would be coming. In lieu of the Employee Civil Rights, Responsibilities, and Resources training the Sexual Harassment Prevention training was added. All employees have received enrollment notifications from do-not-reply@knowbe4.com for all trainings they are required to complete. For faculty and staff who attended the Employee Civil Rights, Responsibilities, and Resources training during Welcome Week you will be credited for the Sexual Harassment Prevention training. If you receive more than two notifications that you need to complete the Sexual Harassment Prevention training please reach out the the Chief Diversity Office at: maurice.nelson@purchase.edu. Completion of all required training, by October 15th, will be a significant factor in consideration for a Discretionary Salary Increase (DSI) for employees who meet all other eligibility requirements.

We strongly encourage everyone to complete as much training as possible earlier in this time frame and not wait until the last minute. We request that supervisors allow employees time during this period to complete as many trainings as operationally feasible for their department.

Please note: There will be a live Ethics Training for New York State Employees. Information about this required training will be communicated separately from the campus Ethics Officers. This training will not be required for DSI consideration.
