A one-time $500 payment will be added to basic annual salary when certain milestones are reached. The milestones for faculty are listed below. This award, which became effective July 2, 2011, in the 2016–2022 NYS/UUP Agreement, continues under the Triborough Amendment of the Public Employees Fair Employment Act (the Taylor Law).

For full-time faculty:

  • Continuing appointment (tenure)
  • Completion of seven years of consecutive full-time service in lecturer titles

For part-time faculty:

After eight years of consecutive service at the campus at which they are currently employed and every eight years thereafter of consecutive service.
