Information on future Presidential Discretionary Awards will be posted after the next NYS/UUP Agreement is ratified.

As described in Articles 20.10 of the 2016-2022 NYS/UUP Agreement, 1 percent of the annual payroll as of June 30, 2016, is to be reserved for Presidential Discretionary Awards in 2016. This is the final discretionary award covered in the Agreement.

  • This award is a lump sum payment, not added to basic annual salary, and is used to recognize performance.
  • It is to be distributed, at the discretion of the campus president, no later than December 31, 2016, to UUP employees who are on the payroll on June 30, 2016, and at the time of payment.
  • For each campus, a percentage is to be earmarked for part-time employees based on the actual percentage of part-time employees on that campus at the time the pool is determined.
