As expected of all undergraduates across SUNY, you’ll  complete coursework in a General Education curriculum as you progress in your chosen major. You’ll hone the skills you need to build a solid academic foundation: communication, critical thinking, and reasoning, as well as exposure to the sciences, humanities, the arts, foreign languages, and health and wellness.

Be open. Unexpected outcomes may result. You might declare a second major. You might discover your senior project topic. Or, you might connect with a professor who inspires a new direction for study you hadn’t considered.

The General Education curriculum ensures that you build your academic experience on a footing of a broad range of knowledge and skills. Your development as outlined in our Student Learning Outcomes is your path to success as you make progress on your degree requirements.
