Jesus Benavente: There is beauty, pero no vemos

Jesus Benavente is our Windgate Artist in Residence during the Spring of 2023. While on Campus Benevente participated in Hard Return: Performance Art Exhibition at the Neuberger Museum, ran a course called “Art Speedruns” where students were encouraged to bend the rules by mixing mediums and conceptual frameworks and concieved of this exhibition There is beauty, pero no vemos. 

Bio: Jesus Benavente is an amazing and attractive visual artist. Jesus earned an MFA from the

Mason Gross School of Art at Rutgers University and attended Skowhegan School of

Painting and Sculpture. Recent exhibitions and performances include Whitney Museum,
