Art+Design: Camberwell College of Arts

The Camberwell College of Arts, program is only open to majors in the School of Art+Design. It is one of the six colleges that make up University of the Arts London (UAL), one of the world’s foremost art and design institutions.

With around 1,600 foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students, Camberwell is one of UAL’s smaller art colleges. Camberwell’s studio culture and strong sense of community encourages students to rethink current creative practices and cultivate their own style. Courses help students develop their own ideas through creating work with guidance from expert staff, encouraging open dialogue with tutors and technicians and developing creative industry connections. Its facilities embrace both traditional craftsmanship and digital technology.

Camberwell has welcomed students to South London for over a century, many of whom have stayed on in the area making it a welcoming place for artists to live and work. Its south east London location is home to a thriving art scene that hosts a variety of galleries, project spaces and studios that students, staff and graduates work and exhibit in.
