How Do I Apply For Housing as New Resident?
Click on myHeliotrope. (If you have not activated your Purchase Log In and password, you must do this first at my.purchase.edu - Account Activation)
Click the New Student box
Click on Pay Deposits
Make sure to follow the prompts
- Enrollment Deposit ONLY ($150.00)
- Enrollment AND Housing Deposit ($400.00)
Complete your housing application and sign your Residence License Agreement (RLA) through your MyHousing portal
Step 7 (only used during the fall semesters):
Choose your new roommates! We now have a new system called MyCollegeRoomie that will allow you to choose your potential new roommates. Looking for support with the new system? MyCollegeRoomie has several helpful and instructional videos that you can view!
Upon paying your housing deposit, you will be prompted to complete the Residence License Agreement (RLA) and room preference questionnaire. Once you have completed these steps, you will receive information on selecting your roommates through the MyCollegeRoomie program. Students who do not complete these steps will not be provided a room assignment.
Your housing deposit will be applied to the upcoming semester’s room charge. Room deposits are refundable for residents withdrawing form campus residences if the request is made to the Office of Community Engagement by the dates listed below:
FALL SEMESTER: By May 1st for all students (June 1 for new students)
SPRING SEMESTER: By December 15 for new students (Moving into campus housing for the Spring semester only). Spring 2021 housing applications are now open. Spring 2021 bills are due on January 8, 2021.
Fall 2020 housing applications are closed.
Residents who live in the residence halls (Big Haus, Crossroads, Farside, Fort Awesome, Outback or Wayback) are required to enroll in a meal plan.

For the Fall 2021 Semester, First Year Students Must Submit Deposit and License Agreement By May 1, 2021 To Guarantee Housing.
Roommate Selection For New Students:
First Year Student can select roommates through the MyCollegeRoomie program. Students will receive this information once they pay their housing deposition and complete the Residence License Agreement.
Roommate requests are NOT guaranteed and will be acknowledged based on room availability, housing deposit date and successfully completing your admissions process.
