How Do I Apply For Housing as New Resident?
Click on myHeliotrope. (If you have not activated your Purchase Log In and password, you must do this first at my.purchase.edu - Account Activation)
Click the New Student box
Click on Pay Deposits
Make sure to follow the prompts
- Enrollment Deposit ONLY ($150.00)
- Enrollment AND Housing Deposit ($400.00)
Upon paying your housing deposit, you will be prompted to complete the Residence License Agreement (RLA) and room preference questionnaire. Students who do not complete these steps will not be provided a room assignment.
Your housing deposit will be applied to the upcoming semester’s room charge. Room deposits are refundable for residents withdrawing form campus residences if the request is made to the Office of Community Engagement by the dates listed below:
FALL SEMESTER: Prior to May 1st for all students
SPRING SEMESTER: Prior to December 15 for new students (Moving into campus housing for the Spring semester only). Spring housing applications will be open on October 30, 2018.
Residents who live in the residence halls (Big Haus, Crossroads, Farside, Fort Awesome, Outback or Campus Center North) are required to enroll in a meal plan.

For the Fall 2018 Semester, First Year Students Must Submit Deposit and License Agreement By May 1, 2018 To Guarantee Housing.
Roommate Preferences For New Students:
First Year Student can request roommate preferences through your MyHousing portal.
Roommate requests are NOT guaranteed and will be acknowledged based on room availability, housing deposit date and successfully completing your admissions process.
Deadline to submit roommate requests is May 18, 2018.
