How Do I Apply For Housing as New Resident?
Click on myHeliotrope. (If you have not activated your Purchase Log In and password, you must do this first at my.purchase.edu - Account Activation)
Click the New Student box
Click on Pay Deposits
Make sure to follow the prompts
- Enrollment Deposit ONLY ($150.00)
- Enrollment AND Housing Deposit ($400.00)
Complete your housing application and sign your Residence License Agreement (RLA) and Housing Application through your MyHousing portal by May 7, 2021.
Upon paying your housing deposit, you will be prompted to complete the Residence License Agreement (RLA) and room preference questionnaire. Students who do not complete these steps will not be provided a room assignment.
Your housing deposit will be applied to the upcoming semester’s room charge. Room deposits are refundable for residents withdrawing from campus residences if the request is made to the Office of Community Engagement by the dates listed below:
FALL SEMESTER: By July 1st for all students
SPRING SEMESTER: By December 15 for new students (Moving into campus housing for the Spring semester only).
Spring 2022 housing applications are OPEN.
Residents who live in the residence halls (Big Haus, Crossroads, Farside, Fort Awesome, Outback or Wayback) are required to enroll in a meal plan.

For the Spring 2022 Semester, First Year students must submit deposit and License Agreement by December 15, 2021 to be prioritized for campus housing.
Roommate Selection For New Students:
All students will enter roommate preferences on their housing application.
Roommate requests are NOT guaranteed and will be acknowledged based on room availability, housing deposit date and successfully completing your admissions process.
