(a) The State has designated Lincoln’s Birthday as a floating holiday in 2020 for State employees in certain bargaining units. For employees in the Security Services, Security Supervisors, Agency Police Services, State Police Troopers, State Police Commissioned and Non-commissioned Officers, and State Police Investigators negotiating units, Lincoln’s Birthday is not designated as a floating holiday.
(b) The State has not designated an alternate day of observance for Independence Day in 2020. It is a pass day holiday.
All eligible full time employees with Attendance Rules coverage are entitled to 12 holidays a year. For classified service employees in the Executive branch of State service who work Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday off, Saturday, July 4, 2020 will be observed as a pass day holiday and those eligible employees will earn 7.5 or 8 hours of holiday leave to be used at another time, subject to supervisory approval.
Note: Accrued holidays not used one (1) year after the date it is earned will expire.
