Institutional Memory: Art+Design Faculty and Staff Group Exhibition

Institutional Memory is a group exhibition made up of recent works made by Purchase College School of Art+Design Faculty, Adjunct Instructors, and Staff. This exhibition is an opportunity for incoming students to experience work created by Art+Design employees that they will work with in the interest of deepening instructor/student and faculty/staff relationships as well as building a strong post-pandemic (fingers crossed) community. 27 artists took time out of their summer schedules to draw upon their collective set of experiences and know-how to help put this exhibition together. The collective memory of the Purchase Visual Arts community - the stored knowledge necessary for a body, an idea, and a culture to rebuild and progress - can be recognized in these individual efforts that create the cohesion of Institutional Memory.
