Gather Your Application Materials

Your completed application includes:

  1. Digital Application Form (below)
  2. Portfolio
  3. Written Statement

Portfolio Details

  • Your Portfolio should consist of 12-20 examples of your work, including:
    1. One self-portrait in any medium
    2. At least two drawings done from direct observation
  • Organize all images with descriptions (title, medium, size, year created) into one PDF or Word document.
  • Submit your materials using a file-sharing service such as OneDrive or Google, and include the link in the form below.

Written Statement

Your written statement should detail goals and objectives for pursuing the major.

Art+Design Internal Transfer Application

An application and review process are required to transfer into a major in the School of Art+Design; acceptance is not automatic. To apply, students must submit the following:

  • a completed application (below)
  • a written statement detailing your goals and objectives in pursuing the new major program
  • a portfolio consisting of 12-20 examples of your work including:
    • One self-portrait in any medium (upload a PDF or Word document below)
    • Two drawings from direct observation (not from photos, not digital)

Organize all of your images with descriptions (title, medium, size, year created) into one PDF or Word document, and provide a link via a file-sharing service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) below.
