Summer Precollege Programs in the Arts

The precollege programs in the arts at Purchase College are for high school students who are passionate artists, actors, performers, musicians, filmmakers, or, writers who may have an interest in pursuing these disciplines on a college level.

These programs provide portfolio building, audition training technique, and college application enhancement opportunities. Institute students may earn certificates based on participation and attendance.

Summer 2020 Update

The Summer Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts have been transformed into fun, engaging, and enriching virtual experiences! Join the instructors you know and have come to love in live daily sessions that teach new skills and provide social interaction. We have kept the same low staff-to-student ratio and quality instruction that you have come to expect.

Please be assured that any changes or cancellations made by the college will amend our refund policy and allow for refunds. Additionally, should any government policies restrict a registered student from participating in a summer program, a refund will also be processed.

Purchase College has established a webpage with updates about the college’s response to COVID-19. Feel free to check it and/or this page frequently for the latest developments.
