To register for classes, fill out the registration form or music placement test available in your Admissions/Application Portal.After May 1, you will receive an email from Admissions/Advising to log in to your Admissions/Application Portalusing the email and password that you used to apply (not your Purchase College email).
BA/BS Liberal Arts and Sciences Majors (Step 2A Below)
Please fill out the Advising Form for the School of the Arts in your Admissions/Application Portal.Your academic department will then create your schedule.
The Advising Center Prepares Your Schedule
If you’re a BA/BS major in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, you will receive communications from the Advising Center during the summer once you fill out your 2026 Advising Form.
We will build your schedule based on your academic requirements and survey responses. You do not need an alternate PIN at this time (see Step 3 below).

Meet with An Advisor
If you have more detailed questions and wish to meet with an advisor, you can make an appointment with an advisor in our Starfish Calendar starting on July 1st:
If you’re a first-year student in the School of Art+Design, Conservatory of Music, Conservatory of Dance, or the BFA programs in Acting, Film, and Theater Design/Technology, you will be registered for required classes by your departments once you have completed the Advising Form for the School of the Arts or the Music placement test in your Admissions/Application Portal.

If you’re a BA or BS student in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, you will receive a PIN allowing access to the registration system. Once you receive your PIN, you will be able to make changes on your own.
Look for an email from the Advising Center on August 14. Please read this email carefully! Add/Drop will close on August 28.
BFA/MusB: Make Changes with Your Department
You will not receive a PIN, because your schedule is pre-set. Any schedule changes must be negotiated with your department. Look for information about your department’s registration survey in your application portal, if applicable.
