Schedule Your Appointment |
To schedule an in-person appointment or submit to the Online Writing Lab (OWL), log-in to our online calendar. Then select the appropriate calendar for the Learning Center, Einstein Corner, or the OWL. On your first visit, you will need to select “Click here to register” in order to set up an account. |
How to Use the Online Calendar System |
Start by going to the online calendar. On your first visit, you will need to select “Click here to register” in order to set up an account. Once you have created an account, you will be able to log-in with your Purchase email address and the password that you created. There are three schedules available: one for individual tutoring sessions in the Learning Center, one for the Einstein Corner, and one for submitting to the Online Writing Lab (OWL). Be sure to select the correct schedule from the drop-down list at the top of the page before selecting a time slot. The schedule is organized by day as well as the time slots available for each tutor. White blocks indicate an available appointment, blue indicates an unavailable time slot, and gray indicates a time that has already passed. Each appointment begins on the hour and lasts for forty-five minutes. On the schedule, each appointment will read as three white boxes in a row. Once your appointment has been entered into the system, the time slot will turn yellow. You will be asked to fill in the course, the instructor’s name, and a brief explanation for what you would like to work on with the tutor. Once you have done this, click “Save Appointment” at the bottom of the pop-up window. When scheduling a tutoring session, be sure to check the tutor’s name to see what subjects they cover. If you need to cancel an appointment for any reason, simply double click on the time slot you have secured in the schedule, and you will be given the option of canceling the appointment. Email confirmations will be sent to your inbox when you schedule an appointment, as well as when you cancel an appointment. |
