Advising Center

Starting on May 1st, you will receive an email from Admissions/Advising to log in to your application portal using the email and password that you applied with (not your Purchase College email).

BA/BS Liberal Arts and Sciences majors,  please fill out the 2025 Advising Form.  The Advising Center or your department (depending on your major) will create your initial schedule based on your registration form responses.  

*BFA, BSVA, and MusB students, see step 2A below 

BA/BS Liberal Arts and Sciences majors: you will receive communications from the Advising Center during the summer.  We will build your schedule for you based on your academic requirements and survey responses. You do not need an alternate PIN at this time (see Step 3 below)

If you have more detailed questions and wish to meet with an advisor, we will post a link to our calendars in late June for summer appointments.  We are excited to meet you either in an appointment or at Orientation!  Thanks for your patience as we assist our continuing and new transfer students in April/May.

First-year students in the School of Art+Design, Conservatory of Music, Conservatory of Dance, and the BFAs in Acting, Film, and Theater Design/Technology, will be registered for required classes by your departments once you have completed the Advising Form for the School of the Arts in your Admissions portal. You will not receive a PIN, because your schedule is pre-set. Any schedule changes must be negotiated with your department.  Look for information for your department’s registration survey in your application portal, if applicable.  If you have questions, please contact the following staff:

BA and BS students in Liberal Arts and Science majors only will receive a PIN which allows access to the registration system. Once you get your PIN, you are able to make changes on your own. Look for an email from the Advising Center on August 15th. Please read this email carefully!  Add/Drop will close on August 29th.
