Understand your Degree Progress Report—stay on track, graduate on time.
It’s Your Personalized Academic Planning Tool
Your Degree Progress Report (DPR) helps you and your advisor track your progress toward graduation. Check which degree requirements you have completed and which are still outstanding so that you can make informed decisions about your coursework and registration.
Review It Early and Often
Check it during the Add/Drop Period to ensure all your courses are degree applicable to avoid issues like paying for unnecessary courses or losing financial aid eligibility.
You’re responsible for reviewing your DPR at least four times per semester, including:
Your DPR is not an official transcript. Official transcripts must be requested from the Registrar’s Office.
Your DPR helps you determine which courses to take, but you do not register for classes through the DPR. Register for courses through MyHeliotrope using Schedule Builder. Learn more about using the registration system.
Your DPR is confidential and only visible to you and authorized college staff.
Use your browser’s print function (Ctrl+P or Command+P) to print a copy.
Your DPR is divided into blocks that reflect different parts of your degree.

Advising Is Essential
Your DPR is a helpful tool, but it does not replace academic advising.
You should continue to meet with your advisor regularly and seek support when you need it. Use Starfish to make an advising appointment.
Who Is My Advisor?
You can find your major advisor’s name in two places:
The top of your Degree Progress Report (DPR), located in your myHeliotrope account.
On your “My Success Network” page in Starfish, listed as “Major Advisor”
Transfer Students
New transfer students typically receive their DPR within two weeks of acceptance.
First-Year Students
Incoming first-year students will receive a DPR if they submit a college transcript for courses taken in high school.
AP, CLEP, IB, or other external coursework may take up to two weeks to appear once official records are received.
