Brightspace Basics Virtual 1:1 Consultation (Welcome Week 2024)
As part of Welcome Week 2024, please feel free to book a 20-minute Brightspace Basics virtual one-on-one consultation session for Monday, August 19, 1pm-4pm via Microsoft Teams.

Description: Book a 20-minute slot via Microsoft Bookings (requires Purchase College login) to receive assistance with preparing your Brightspace course for the Fall 2024 semester! Brightspace Basics topics can include:
- using communication tools (e.g. sending emails to entire class, creating announcements)
- adding resources (e.g, creating modules, uploading files, authoring web pages)
- creating activities (e.g. setting up assignments, creating quizzes, starting discussion forums)
- connecting courses to third-party tools (e.g. VoiceThread, Perusall, Turnitin, etc.)
- and contacting the SUNY Online Help Desk for support.
Before signing up for a one-on-on consultation slot, please make sure that you are able to login to Purchase College Brightspace and that your primary campus affiliation and email address are set to Purchase College.
If you need to update your primary campus affiliation/email address, please place a request with the SUNY Online Help Desk.
Login to Purchase College Brightspace
- Go to https://brightspace.purchase.edu
- Login with your Purchase College username and password. Do not include “@purchase.edu” in your username. If needed, reset your password.
- Follow the prompts to complete the login process using Duo Multi-Factor Authentication.
- You will be brought to https://mylearning.suny.edu/d2l/home/219851, which is Purchase’s tenant of the larger SUNY Brightspace instance.
