backstory: Devoted Leaders, part two

So, you’ve heard me say already that I adore my board chair. Well … this is the last month of Susan Dubin’s tenure as Chair of the Board of the Friends of the Neuberger Museum of Art.

In a backstory back in January I spoke about the ways in which Susan is “devoted to the museum and to doing what is in the best interest of its work.” During her six years (two terms) as chair and more than 20 years on the Board, Susan has been a champion for the museum and the arts, representing us to other groups, serving on vital committees, chairing galas, funding exhibitions and aspects of our education program. She has been an incredible thought partner for me, my staff, and her fellow Board members.

Paul Zukowsky, Incoming Chair of the Board of the Friends of the Neuberger Museum of Art Here’s another concrete example of her devotion — Susan worked hard to create a strong successful plan for her departure. On July 1 we are welcoming Paul Zukowsky as our new Chair. Susan helped bring Paul into the museum, recognized his commitment to the Neuberger early on, and got Paul on board to be our incoming chair.

I am grateful to Susan for all that she has done and am happy that she has agreed to continue as a member of the Board. And I look forward to introducing you to Paul as he settles into his new role.
