Spark your creativity this summer with Purchase College’s Summer Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts (SYPPA), a hands-on experience for students entering grades 6–12. Explore acting, filmmaking, creative writing, visual arts, and more.

Summer Precollege Programs in the Arts

Students in Precollege Programs in the Arts refine their skills, build confidence in their craft, and explore new creative directions through hands-on experiences and experimentation. They engage with a vibrant community of peers and mentors, exchanging ideas and receiving constructive feedback, which fosters both artistic growth and personal development.

Session I: June 29 - July 10, 2026
Session II: July 13 - July 24, 2026
Session III: July 27 - August 7, 2026

Registration Opens: February 23, 2026

Summer Precollege Programs in the Arts run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please note that housing is not available.
