The Learning Center offers a comprehensive system of support during the fall and spring academic terms, ranging from help in a specific course to detailed instruction in writing and study skills. The primary modes of support are peer-based individual and group tutoring.
Students may schedule a maximum of one 45-minute appointment per day and up to three 45-minute appointments per week, in any combination of virtual sessions and Online Writing Lab (OWL) submissions.

The Pareto Improvement Unit provides students with free tutoring assistance in economics. The Economics Faculty handpicks tutors at the beginning of every semester. The PImU is intended to provide students taking economics courses with additional and alternative instruction, tutoring, and mentoring.
The Pareto Improvement Unit is located in room 1018 of the Social Sciences Building, where students can also consult copies of the textbooks used in different economics courses.
