Jade Viñas

Jade Viñas is an English and Global Literatures major. She will be presenting her senior project, “Let Kids Read the Rainbow: The Importance of Queer Children’s Literature.” This project focuses on the importance of children’s picture books that focus on the LGBTQ+ community, specifically And Tango Makes Three, I Am Jazz, and Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag. These three books are tied for the most banned picture books in the 2021-2022 academic year.
