With its 20 foot tall walls, the total volume of the Theater Gallery is over 98,000 ft.³.

Prior to its opening in 1974, the Museum and its galleries were used by students to, in fact, initiate and create the first expressions of artistic vision within its walls. The grand volume of the Theater Gallery was certainly a place where the first moments of dance, and music, and artistic vision came to fruition at the Neuberger Museum of Art.

The Theater Gallery provides a volume of space that artists, curators, and students are rarely provided the opportunity to work within. It is a space that allows for expansive thought and creation, for communal meditation, and celebration of inclusive ideology.
