Jack Alano

Jack Alano is a Communications major. He will be presenting his senior project, titled ”The Modern Stand-Up Special: A Shift In Entertainment Consumer Culture.” Subgenre within stand-up comedy is a relatively undefined topic, with genre lines even blurrier than those of other performance arts like music or dance. Within the past five years, however, a new stand-up subgenre has gained immense popularity with such speed and definition that it requires analysis against the backdrop of modern consumer culture.
