Alanna Smith

Alanna Smith is a communications major with a focus in PR. She will be presenting her senior project, titled The Social Media Tactics of Multi Level Marketing Schemes. Multi Level Marketing schemes will use social media to present themselves in a more attractive light, often pressuring direct sellers to post a false life style and market the company through direct messages resulting in rifts in their social lives and a negative effect on mental health. Through my podcast I interview Professor of Marketing William Keep from the College of New Jersey to discuss how these MLMs operate on social media and how an individual may be enticed into joining one.
