Carr Lara
Carr is an Art History Major with a Latin American Studies Minor. They will be presenting their senior project titled, ”Fusión de dos Culturas: The Pre-Columbian Symbol’s role in forming Mexican National Identity in Contemporary Art and the Post-Colonial Landscape.” which will be a delve into Mexican Cultural identity as expressed visually in contemporary art and popular culture through the atavistic evocation of symbols from Mesoamerica, a historical region and cultural area in southern North America and most of Central America, which housed a number of complex civilizations including the Olmecs, the Mayas and the Aztecs.
