Eleanor Morrison

Eleanor Morrison is a philosophy major with political science and sociology minors. She will be presenting her senior project, titled Welcome Nowhere: Hospitality and the Feminine in Derrida. The project examines the concept of hospitality in Derrida, focusing on questions of the boundaries of power, encountering, language, and spatiality. Ultimately, Derrida is critiqued for his use of a de-materialized notion of “the feminine” central to his account of hospitality.
