Professor John Mitchell Morris

John Mitchell Morris is a Lecturer in Writing and the Chair of College Writing at Purchase College. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing at Sarah Lawrence College, his JD from Villanova University School of Law, and his BA from California State University, Northridge. He is a member of the State Bar of California and practiced in Los Angeles in areas spanning employment law, entertainment, insurance coverage, as well as business and corporation litigation. His novel-in-progress, In The Trembling Heart, is a love story set in the early twenty-first century and explores the intersections of tragedy, art, and redemption. He was a reader for the Spring 2020 and Winter 2021 issues of Expose.
