Diversity Abroad Honors Scholarship Program (DAHSP)
Not currently available: Please check back periodically to see whether the scholarship has been reinstated.
The DAHSP, awarded by the SUNY Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, strives to eliminate the gap in attracting, serving and graduating underrepresented populations while promoting inclusive educational programs that reward academic excellence along with its broader mission in expanding students’ knowledge of diverse peoples throughout the world.
This Scholarship is meant for SUNY undergraduates from a broad range of backgrounds who might not otherwise be able to study abroad, who are participating in any SUNY sponsored study abroad program including summer, fall, winter, summer and academic year programs. A one-on-one campus review committee nominates one student from Purchase, to receive the award. Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis, and these stipends must include a source of matching funds from the campus equal to or greater than the award.
Application and submission instructions are detailed on the cover letter of the application form, which includes a reference form (attached in application).
