George Saunders

George Saunders is the author of four collections of short stories, a novella, a book of essays, and an award-winning children’s book. Tenth of December, his most recent short story collection, was named one of the Top Ten Books of 2013 by The New York Times. He has been awarded both a MacArthur Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship. In 2013, Time named him one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. His stories regularly appear in The New Yorker, and he teaches in the Creative Writing Program at Syracuse University. His first novel, Lincoln in the Bardo, was published in February 2017.
