“Wild Animals” Horror Short Premieres at Woodstock Film Festival
The film, produced by Lecturer in Communications Melissa Rodriguez ’13 with Jamie Simiele ’26 as production coordinator, will screen Oct. 18.
Shot in Woodstock and Queens, NY, Wild Animals follows a father (Larry Fessenden, Killers of the Flower Moon) and his son’s hunting trip that descends into a nightmare after the killing of a mysterious creature unleashes a curse.
Melissa Rodriguez ’13 (Cinema Studies, Screenwriting minor) was producer and executive producer on the film with help from senior film major Jamie Simiele as production coordinator.
Wild Animals recently began its film festival circuit, premiering at the Nightmares Film Festival and the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival.
The Woodstock Film Festival has screened a record number of independent films that have gone on to win or be nominated for Academy Awards.
