backstory: Great news for everyone but especially for our members.

If you’ve been to the Museum lately, you’ve probably noticed that we are no longer charging for admission.

We stopped charging during the pandemic and I’ve decided that I want to keep it free. Most of you (not all) are New York State residents and I don’t think it makes sense for you to have to pay to see objects that are actually in the collection of the State of New York. And the rest of you, just come on in!

Then, if you were a member (but non-members keep reading!) as of 2019, you know that we stopped invoicing you for your membership dues during the pandemic. Well… expect to see an invoice soon, which I know isn’t great news. BUT, here’s the REALLY GREAT news: Because admission is free, and because it was a hallmark of the membership program, we’re swapping it out for FREE PARKING! (This is where you non-members should be thinking to yourselves, hmmm… paying for parking there is kind of a hassle and I’d like free parking too. Well, all you have to do is JOIN HERE).

Two free things are better than… well, two free things are just awesome.
