The SUNY Digital Learning Conference will be held at SUNY Oneonta on November 4 & 5. This year’s theme is “Open and Public: Using digital tools to transform learning and foster community engagement.” Presentation proposals are currently being accepted!

SUNY Digital Learning Conference 2022

The SUNY Digital Learning Conference will be held at SUNY Oneonta November 4-5, 2022. This year, the theme of the conference will be “Open and Public: Using digital tools to transform learning and foster community engagement.” This conference is sponsored by SUNY Oneonta with a leadership committee assembled from across SUNY.

Project-based learning, collaborative assignments, public-facing scholarship, and ePortfolios are examples of open practices that empower co-creation, changing the learning environment from passive to dynamic. This SUNY-wide conference provides a place to share tools, pedagogical methods, and support structures designed to encourage exploration, experimentation, and innovation.

Call for Proposals

The call for proposals is now closed.

Conference themes include:

  • Supporting students’ digital fluency
  • Amplifying underrepresented voices
  • Universal design for learning
  • Open pedagogy
  • Connecting course contents to students’ professional online presence
  • Building confidence and encouraging students to take digital risks

All SUNY faculty and staff are invited to submit abstracts to present at this conference, and special consideration will be given to presentations that include students. We welcome proposals from outside the SUNY system as well.

Once you have completed the review you will be ready to start the presentation submission process for SUNY Digital Learning Conference. To begin, click on the “Submit Abstract” button at the conference website.

Deadline for proposals extended to Thursday, October 6, 2022 at midnight.

Keynote Presentation

For our Keynote Presentation, we have invited panelists from different backgrounds, who can speak about digital infrastructure, digital humanities, and students professional growth through these type of learning activities.

  • Charlie Edwards: OpenLab Co-Director; Commons In A Box OpenLab Co-Project Director; Opening Gateways Co-Director
  • Lisa Marie Rhody: Director of the Digital Humanities Research Institute and Deputy Director of Digital Initiatives at The Graduate Center, CUNY
  • Jessie Stack Lombardo: Director of the Career Design Center, SUNY Geneseo

In addition to appearing on the keynote panel, the invited guests will also do a solo presentation or hands on workshop.
