Today, a recommendation… If you’re going to museums again, here’s what you need to go and see: the David drawings show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Jacques Louis David: Radical Draftsman at The Met Fifth Avenue Gorgeous. What a hand he had. So fluid. One of the things I like most about it is that some of the drawings are studies for larger works and those drawings, in my view, are often more beautiful than the finished object. This show takes time. The drawings are intricate and there are many of them. But well worth the time it takes to really look carefully.
