Roof Rehabilitation at Dance Building
Addressing ongoing leaks and other problems, while also making the building more energy efficient.
Project Update as of April 8, 2024
The contractor, Barrett, Inc. continues their work as weather allows. The old skylight in the middle of the building was removed and the opening protected. Work will continue into the Spring as they install the new skylight and finish up the rest of the roofing work.
Project Overview
The existing single-ply EPDM roofing system on our Dance Building has reached the end of its useful life expectancy and suffers from numerous leaks and deterioration. This compromises the integrity of the roofing system and is leading to interior damage and moisture infiltration into the building.
This project will address the leaks and stop any further interior damages and deterioration into the building. The new roofing system will also increase the energy efficiency of the building, leading to saving in energy costs.
