backstory: Always Learning

I’m really blessed and here’s why. I have been very fortunate in my career to have found myself, time and time again, in situations of real and continuous learning.
Acting now, in addition to continuing to direct the Neuberger, as the Interim Managing Director of Purchase College’s Performing Arts Center is decidedly no exception. And here’s the kicker that I never expected would be the case. Museums and Performing Arts Centers have an awful lot in common. They serve and teach and entertain their publics. And they steward collections. At the museum it’s art. At the PAC, it’s props and costumes and other precious items. Climate is key in both places to be able to take good care of those collections. No question, it’s a learning curve for me at PAC, but I’m grateful to have two amazing staffs: one that supports me while I’m learning and the other that teaches me. Actually, both are always teaching me.

With gratitude to them, and with gratitude to be always learning…

Be safe, be well.
