backstory: A New President for Purchase

Dr. Peña, who prefers to go by Milly, was selected for Purchase after a highly competitive search and we are all delighted to have her join us. In her meeting today with the Neuberger team, Milly emphasized not only her love of museums, but also the ways in which, growing up as a kid in the New York City school system, she had lots of opportunities to visit some of the world’s best museums through school field trips. She told us how those experiences helped shape her view of the world and how she believed that the same was true of the countless students who had already visited the Neuberger Museum and those who would visit us in the future. A great first day for us with the new president.
