“Razing” the Roof

Remember how I mentioned last week that the Neuberger was the first building to be constructed on the Purchase College campus? Well, that also means that we had the first roof! And it’s time for a replacement (this will actually be our third roof, I think).
So, while we closed in March due to the pandemic, we will continue to be closed this fall, as was originally scheduled, for the construction of a new roof. I’m hoping to re-open to the public just after Martin Luther King Day. Do I think we’ll make that timeline? I do. Our roofers are moving along with great speed, I’m pleased to report. So, if that continues AND we all can keep our COVID positivity rate down in New York, yes, I’m hopeful that we might just make it. Stay tuned. And meanwhile, there’s still a lot of things going on “at” the NEU:

We’ll continue to keep you informed of all that’s coming up this fall. E-mail us with questions and suggestions of what else you’d like to see and do.
