Rehab. of Museum’s Southwest Courtyard
Addressing an ongoing leak into the Museum’s lower level.
Project Updates as of December 12, 2022
Construction work is nearly complete, with the new pavers and courtyard drainage system already installed. There are some punch-list items that remain. The contractor has removed their fencing and should be complete in the early Spring.
The Neuberger Museum of Art’s southwest exterior brick courtyard has suffered from a number of leaks from the courtyard’s two drains, and another drain located in a planter along the courtyard’s west wall. These leaks are impacting the Museum’s spaces below, introducing moisture and causing deterioration.
Investigation of the drains have shown they were improperly installed, and that corrective action is needed to address the issue.
