In memory of Bud Blank and Don Cecil. So very missed.

Last week we lost two Neuberger Museum giants, Bud Blank and Don Cecil. Both Bud and Don served on the Museum’s Board of the Friends and Honorary Council for many, many years. Both were great friends and supporters of ours.
Susan Dubin, our Friends Board Chair who knew both men well, remarked,

Bud was the epitome of old-world courtliness. He had the sweetest smile, the most gentle manner and just exuded warmth. It really enveloped you when you were with him. He was a great art collector, loved living with it and loved to share it.

Don was so much fun to be with, always ready to share a laugh. Jim and I had dinner with him regularly. His life experiences were worthy of a book and his total devotion to improving the lives of the less advantaged through education set an example for us all.

Bud and Don, you will be so very missed.
