Music Building Humidification Project
Project Update as of October 12, 2019
The contractor is submitting their final closeout documents and their contract work is complete. As they performed their work, a few extra items were noticed in need of repair and they are currently working on replacing these items, which will allow us to balance the overall building system.
Over the summer, the contractor repaired one of the major AC units in the building, replaced and cleaned heating coils, and completed their commissioning work. A few items needed to be ordered and will be installed once available and when there’ll be the least impact to our programs.
The Music Building suffers from humidity and air conditioning issues in a number of its spaces. This project will address these issues by installing a new humidification system in a number of piano rooms and will also involve the re-commissioning of the building’s mechanical system.
