EOP Students
Pre-Freshman Summer Academy
Sunday, July 6— Friday, July 25, 2025
Bring a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn!
The Pre-Freshman Summer Academy is an immersive introduction to college life to set you up for success.
We want you to succeed!
That’s why we require all first-year EOP students to attend the Summer Academy.
The Pre-Freshman Summer Academy is all about YOU. It’s planned to provide you with the tools and information to ensure your success while you’re at Purchase and beyond.
We orient you to different aspects of the college and campus services integral to your success. You’ll become familiar with college life through workshops and activities. You’ll also receive advising on both academics and financial aid.
But the rest is up to you.
The critical element in achieving academic success at Purchase is YOU!
EOP provides you with information and support, but ultimately, success is up to you, and results directly from the time and effort you apply toward your college experience.
Registration not required.
You do not need to register for the Summer Academy. We will enroll you automatically.
What to Expect
Your program begins with an Orientation session on Monday, July 7. The days that follow start with breakfast at 8am, followed by workshops such as reading, writing, or math groups, then peer mentoring and individual appointments with advisors. You’ll be busy, but we build free time into every day’s schedule.
Visit the EOP Summer Academy page for further details about the program.

Parents and Families
The EOP Summer Academy does not include programming for parents, families, or guardians.

Welcome Weeks
The Office of Residential and Student Life hosts many events and activities year round, but the first weeks of the semester are packed with plenty of fun ways to meet fellow students and engage in social life at Purchase.
Meet the community! All activities during Welcome Weeks are open to both new and continuing students.
We encourage parents and families to sign up for Purchase Families Connect, our communication platform for families to stay connected and receive valuable information and tips.
