Gender Inclusive Housing
Gender Inclusive Housing provides students the opportunity to occupy a safe space housing option that does not require all room/apartment-mates to be of the same legal sex.
The Gender Inclusive Housing Option brings together individuals as part of a welcoming and inclusive community.
This option is open to all members of the campus community regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Our housing inventory allows for gender-inclusive housing options in most residential areas. Selecting gender-inclusive housing does not guarantee placement in a specific building or assignment.
Requirements
Students who opt into Gender Inclusive Housing will select this option when filling out the questionnaire that follows the residence license agreement.
Unless a student opts into gender inclusive housing, they will be assigned based on the legal sex stated on their admissions application.
All students who you are interested in living with must answer the gender inclusive question the same.
Important Note
Students in gender inclusive housing areas that are not filled (rooms, apartments, etc.) can receive a student of any gender who has opted in to gender inclusive housing to fill the space.
