Arundhati Eidinger is an Art History major. Her studies are influenced by growing up with activist parents in historic and museum filled Washington, D.C. She will be sharing her senior project, “American Amnesia: The Liberty Cap’s Uses and Abuses.” Her investigation tracks the evolution of the Liberty cap from a physical tool to manumission, to an allegorical symbol of freedom, and its implications in terms of American slavery and its abolition.
